I really think that what happened to Haiti is very devastating but it's so touching to see that a lot of people all around the globe are helping them in their own little ways. I hope and pray that the people from Haiti could recover soon.

Re: Caption Contest

Chris Dodd is expressing what he and Jim Himes both share, a feeling of superiority over their constituents. Civil Rights! All Liberal Ideas! Damn there’s that word is again. Anybody here want to take any of these away, go head and try. Would any of these be socialist ideas? How about SS, Veterans Benefits, Congress retirement and lifetime health care plan, Unions, corporations all have a socialist taint. Who’s for killing off these programs, well maybe congressional benefits.

Joe/MSNBC/Starbucks told us that HE is the LAST BEST HOPE, with shattered ideas. I don’t see how he comes back from this. He is the best case for Darwinism, some of the species don’t make it, they die off. He’s like his co host Pat Buchanan a dying breed. That’s is a good thing!

He is a part of his party that’s stuck on stupid, but that extends to all conservatives in this mindset and its rearward thinking. I don’t see how moderates can stay in this party hoping to change it. Maybe they would be better of being an Independent. Religion and guns has captured this party, the party of fear. newt, be afraid be very afraid, I’ll lead but you go first. The party that tells North Korea, yes you can and we to love torture. What more can you expect from an evening at the theater?” —New York Daily News

Troubled by the election in 2004 and the health of American democracy, Josh Kornbluth (author of Red Diaper Baby) came to the conclusion that perhaps voting is just not enough. As a result of his distress, Kornbluth created this smart and funny exploration of active citizen participation. Just in time for election season, Citizen Josh weaves a web of entertaining and moving autobiographical tales into a personal quest to examine and engage the fundamentals of democracy. Kornbluth last produced Love & Taxes at Arena and continues his long-time association with our own Producing Artistic Associate, David Dower.
